There are many ways to get sponsors for your chapter! Most of them include contacting local businesses and asking for sponsorships. It may seem daunting, but it’s very possible to do if you’re confident and concise. The following tips will help you from when you’re contacting potential sponsors, all the way to when they’re considering whether or not to accept.
Get out there!
To get sponsors, you have to put yourself out there! They’re rarely going to come to you, so you have to go to them. When in contact with a potential sponsor, be clear and concise. Take your time when writing an email. You gotta make sure to get your point across! Also, don’t be afraid to ask for exactly what you want. The worst they can do is tell you no.
Utilize Social Media
Social media is a wonderful tool! If you play your cards well, it can be a great advantage for you and your chapter. Make sure to post frequently with good content. It shows your community just how active and hardworking you are! Posts about things such as meeting dates, current and upcoming TSA events, and advice from your chapter officers tend to do well and are a great way to get your members engaged!
Do Community Service
Doing community service in your chapter’s name is a great way to get exposure. You can go to local food drives, volunteer at a soup kitchen, or even help plant trees at a local park! It makes you more recognizable and it helps increase your chance of getting sponsored. Also, if you do some community service, make sure to make a social media post about it!
Conclusively, there are many things you can do that’ll help you get sponsors. As long as you give it your 100%, you’re sure to get something from it!
