Our generation is known for constantly being on our phones. This means that social media platforms are a great place to connect with other people. It is a simple way to boost the success of your chapter! Here are a few tips for engaging in TSA through Social Media:
Engage During State and National Conferences
State and National Conferences are more than just competitive events. At state conference, you get a chance to participate in workshops, the mixer, and more. At national conference, you get an opportunity to participate in pin trading, business meetings, and meet people all over the country (and maybe some out of). Take pictures of these amazing experiences to keep track of your fond memories. Make sure to use the official Tennessee TSA conference hashtag, #TNTSA or the National TSA hashtag, #OneTSA!
Showcase Your Chapter
If your chapter members are hard at work, snap a picture! Social media is a great place to show what your chapter has done. Tell everyone about how much fun you are having while working on events or hanging out with your TSA buddies.
Recruit New Members
When non-members see how much fun you’ve been having at TSA through social media, they’ll want to join, too. Having a social media page for TSA makes it easier to promote to prospect members. If your school has an official page, have them tag your TSA account to hype up the publicity.
Build Connections with Other Chapters
Plenty of TSA chapters have chapter Instagram accounts, Twitter accounts, and more! Social media is a great place to see what others are doing. You could gain valuable advice from looking at what works for other chapters. Don’t be afraid to interact with other chapters!
Once you or your chapter has created a social media page, make sure to follow us at @TennesseeTSA on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Snapchat!
