As the holidays are quickly approaching with dreams of turkey, time off from school, and sleeping in over our heads, it can surely be too easy to forget the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Instead of stressing over dinner, decor, and guest lists, I encourage you to stop and think of some ways to reflect on what makes you #thankful. Within the Technology Student Association, each and every one of us have been given endless opportunities that may be overlooked at times.
Each and every one of us on the Tennessee TSA state officer team would like to wish you all a tremendous Thanksgiving! Here are three reasons why you should be thankful for TSA:
The Unique Passions & Bonds Shared by Our Members
In TSA we are all a family. Each of us share a bond with 250,000 students from all around the country. Each of us are building our careers from the foundation of TSA. For members who are in the process of discovering their career path, a whole world of STEM competitions are open for to explore. Bonds created through eating together at conferences, supporting each other in our events, or sharing rooms build friendships that are meant to last a lifetime!
The Love and Support Given to us by Our Advisors
Our advisors have essentially become parental figures that watch over the members of our family. As family members we all have unique talents and that is what makes us so connected to one another. I encourage you to show your appreciation for your TSA chapter family, whether it’s just thanking them for the success they have given you throughout your time in TSA or thanking your chapter members for contributions they’ve made to your competitive events!
The Ability to Lead, Learn, and Grow Through Endless Opportunities
Even more unique is our ability to connect with people from other parts of the world, or to benefit countless of people around us. Through national/statewide initiatives to support the American Cancer Society or Relay for Life organizations, the ability for every member to take advantage of every opportunity available to make a difference in your community is simply astounding.
