Tennessee TSA Dress Code
for Regional and State Conferences
The Tennessee TSA Dress Code for Regional and State Conferences should be carefully reviewed since it includes changes from the National TSA Dress Code. All conference attendees, including parents, guests, and children, must be officially registered for Tennessee TSA conferences and comply with the dress code policy. Conference attendees must wear the official conference name badge to all activities.
REQUIRED COMPETITION ATTIRE
GENERAL SESSION ATTIRE
CASUAL ATTIRE
REQUIRED COMPETITION ATTIRE
- Shirt: long-sleeved, royal blue, button-up shirt (does not have to have TSA logo or be purchased from the TSA Store)
- Pants or skirt: gray
- Shoes: black dress shoes worn with black or dark blue socks, hosiery (optional); open-toe shoes or sandals are acceptable (unacceptable: athletic shoes; flip-flops; military boots; or work boots)
- Blazer: navy blue with official TSA patch
- Tie: official TSA tie (males) (females are not penalized for wearing the official TSA tie to Chapter Team or other competitive events)
GENERAL SESSION ATTIRE
- Shirt: long-sleeved, royal blue, button-up shirt is preferred; button-down or a polo/golf shirt (unacceptable: t-shirts; halter tops; tank tops)
- Dress, skirt, or pants: (unacceptable: jeans; baggy pants; exterior pocket pants; shorts)
- Shoes: dress shoes worn with dark socks, hosiery (optional); open-toe shoes or sandals are acceptable (unacceptable: athletic shoes; flip-flops; military boots; work boots)
CASUAL ATTIRE
- Appropriate t-shirts, shorts, or jeans (unacceptable: sleeveless shirts; sagging pants; shorts or skirts that are shorter than fingertips; midriff-baring and revealing clothing; pajamas and swimwear outside of designated areas; clothing with printing that is suggestive, obscene, or promotes illegal substances)
- Casual attire may not be worn at competitions or general sessions
