Hello Tennessee TSA! My name is Eli Hicks and I’m a senior at Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. I cannot wait to serve as your State President this year! When I walked into my first TSA meeting, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I definitely didn’t expect to fall in love with the organization. TSA has allowed me to meet so many people from across the country and form friendships with people that I otherwise never would have met. I’ve met some of my best friends through this organization and will forever cherish those relationships. It has given me opportunities to compete with my friends and make lasting memories. I want to work to ensure that every member enjoys TSA just as much as I have throughout the years.
TSA has truly transformed me from a shy, introverted person, to someone who practically never stops talking. Events like Chapter Team and Debating Technology Issues definitely helped me in this transformation. This year, I want to focus on giving each of our members the best possible TSA experience. When not in TSA, I can be found in my school’s band room, hanging out with my friends, or participating in any number of other extracurriculars. Throughout the upcoming year, I will continue to be an advocate for Tennessee TSA in addition to STEM education. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve TNTSA, and I cannot wait to work with Team 45 to make the best version of our organization. |
