Hello Tennessee TSA! My name is Yug Patel, and I am a Junior this year at Ravenwood High School. I am both honored and excited to serve as your State President this year!
My TSA journey began with my mom forcing me to attend the interest meeting at my middle school. As an 8th grader, I was skeptical and doubted I would ever join this club. However, deciding to join TSA that year was a life-changing decision. Going through the year, experiencing my first regional, state, and national conferences sparked my love for TSA and changed my entire middle school experience. I've been able to create friendships at every level of TSA, enabling me to grow as a competitor, teammate, and overall person. From a quiet person who struggled to voice their opinion, I've been able to contribute and lead because of TSA and its community. TSA has also allowed me to thrive in other extracurriculars in high school, like Model UN, HOSA, and many others! However, within TSA, my favorite event has to be Biotech. Outside of TSA and school, I love playing soccer and hanging out with my friends! Using my experience last year, I hope to make a positive change in TNTSA. My main goals are to provide resources to new, upcoming chapters, broaden the influence of chapter members and officers at the state level, and expand on TSA's accessibility efforts. I am beyond enthusiastic to work with Team 46 and make this the best year yet! |
